Having played with 10-man for the most of the first period
saw PFA slip to a 2-0 defeat against IBP at Padang Kecil. However the
score-line does not reflect the game as it was PFA who only had the ball and
possession to play and created ton of chances but lady luck was not on PFA
side.
It was Daniel who was first to make the opposition
goalkeeper to work, finding himself denied by the goalkeeper with a fine save.
He also came within inches of scoring the leveler as he struck the inside of the
post. It was an unusual performance by the striker as he failed to convert the
chances he has had in the first period where he should have scored three or four.
Chances continued to come for PFA as Ninak’s long range
effort was again tipped off by the goalkeeper. Najib’s disallowed goal should
have stood on as he was on-side when he struck a thunderous left-foot volley
but the referee calls for offside.
Jarul also hit the woodwork with a 30 yards strike that
rattled the crossbar in the second period. IBP once again were thankful to
their keeper again as he denied mass of chances to keep PFA at bay. IBP’s
counter-attacking game plan was working to perfection for the whole game and
left PFA wondering how did they lost the game which they dominated.
